Berber Carpets:  There are two basic types of berber carpets: wool and synthetic (olefin or olefin/nylon blends). Due to the way this type of carpet is woven a positive vacuum seal is difficult to maintain and leaving the carpet wetter than normal is easy to do. This can cause severe browning in wool berber carpets, wicking, and giving even synthetic berber carpets a dingy appearance.  Add to this the fact that olefin berber carpets like other olefin carpets are oleophilic (likes oil) and cleaning these carpets can be a real pain.

On the synthetic berber carpets Extreme Clean is a good pre-spray.  It will get in there and break up the grease and oil in the carpet. On really heavy soil you can boost it with Energy.  For natural fibers (wool) Ultra TLC is the best pre-spray to use. To extract these carpets We highly recommend Natural Fiber Cleaner, even on the synthetic fibers. As the carpets dry the Natural Fiber cleaner will brighten the carpets appearance and prevent browning.
