Barry Lichtenstein Barry Lichtenstein has been cleaning carpets since 1980, and has been in business on his own since 1984.
Barry has experience using a wide variety of cleaning methods and equipment, from rotary shampooers to portable and truck-mount HWE units. He also has experience cleaning upholstery with HWE, hand shampooing and dry cleaning.
Barry is a firm believer in education. In 1989 he “discovered” the IICUC (now the IICRC) and took his first course. Barry is currently an IICRC certified Master Textile Cleaner, Journeyman Fire/Smoke Restorer and Journeyman Water Damage Restorer, and his company, Amcho Carpet Cleaning, is an IICRC Certified Firm.
Barry is also a strong supporter of local trade associations. He is a long-time member of the New England Institute of Restoration and Cleaning (NEIRC) having served in several positions on the board, and is a past president. He continues to serve on the NEIRC board, and is currently the Clerk and IICRC representative. He is also Secretary of the IICRC and serves as the chair of the IICRC Registrant Standards Committee.
