Stain Type: Carpet Yellowing

TOOLS REQUIRED: Hot water extraction machine and a pump sprayer.
CHEMICALS REQUIRED: Last Step Rinse and CSS (Color Stabilizer and Souring Agent).

Procedure:

This condition most frequently results from cleaning with a solution that is too caustic (too high a pH.), from preventing normal venting of vapor by covering carpet with plastic protectors or from water damage. To correct the discoloration:

1. Step 1.  Thoroughly hot water extraction rinse the carpet with a solution of Last Step Rinse. Leave carpet as dry as possible.
2. Step 2.  With a pump sprayer apply a dilute solution of CSS (3 parts water to 1 part CSS).

Tip: Groom carpet and allow to dry before use. Stain should disappear as carpet dries.
