STAIN TYPE: YELLOWING OF STAIN RESISTANT CARPET

TOOLS REQUIRED: HWE and a pump sprayer.
CHEMICALS REQUIRED: Last Step Rinse and CSS (Color Stabilizer and Souring Agent).

PROCEDURE:

This yellowing effect most frequently results from several sources:

1. Cleaning with a solution that is too caustic (too high a P.H.).
2. Alkaline off gassing from concrete being from prevented from normal dissipation by covering carpet with plastic protectors etc.
3. From water damage.

To correct the discoloration:

Step 1. Thoroughly hot water extraction rinse the carpet with a solution of Last Step Rinse. Leave carpet as dry as possible.
Step 2. Apply a dilute solution of CSS with a pump sprayer.

Tip: Groom carpet and allow to dry before use. Discoloration should disappear as carpet dries.
